today today.

Today is the day. Never one like it before. Similar ones sure, but this one, this is TODAY.

Not so profound to most, though some of us drag our feet for as long as we can. We wait for the forced change, a move, a decision — overhead, top of mind — a sword of damocles sans the power and prestige.

Just a little human, with big visions, and a tender misinformed ego. Classic primate. One that needs to be reminded about the glorious potential of today, right now, these words, this moment.

Why the dragging feet and cowering ego beyond basic evolution? Fear. Another ubiquitous reality for all creatures. Too many to name, too foolish or self -indulgent to share - that keep me or anyone from today.

Odd though, how the desires and fears—in reality they are mundane and something of privilege. Perhaps the biggest fear is to not be worthy of a perspective all my own—that mine may crash into the perspective of another or worse— no one. Either way—the horror!

Not today. Today, I will be unafraid, or at least not let that pesky fear obstruct another day.
